Isn't this what Dinner Jacket wants, a reason to go to war with the USA and its allies, hate to say it but I think the nutter could do it, what would happen apart from World War 3, worrying times , again

HampshireSeagulls said:See above. SA80s and a 9mm against Fast Patrol Craft fitted with .50cal, AKs or Kalashnikovs (not sure of Rep Guard preference these days), plus RPGs.
The CO bears the weight of not sanctioning ship or helo opening fire, but is handcuffed by the ROE. Will be interesting to see the Report of Proceedings on this one.

Chicken Run said:Why did the BP go on the Blind Side of the Indian Ship when the Helo whas recalled for RF I.E no cover, I seved with 3 CO'S down in the Persian Gulf and I'm not sure a RIB would be left without overhead ect

.50cal. Big bullets, very fast, punch through almost anything.
AK47s or Kalas - robust, fast firing.
RPGs - Rocket Propelled Grenades. Get rid of whatever is left after the two above weapons have had a go.
Us
SA80. Fault-ridden weapon, doesn't like sand or water.
9mm. Nice for up close and personal. Does not out-rank an RPG.
ROE - Rules of Engagement. Tell us when we can and can't play with live rounds. Normally means they can shoot, we can't.
As always at the present!HampshireSeagulls said:Not sure, although I know that the boarded ship was non-functional so was not manoeuvred into a safer boarding position. Don't know why the helo was not maintained above, or why the FPCs were not lit up on the radars or by visual lookout. Some questions are floating around without answers at the moment.
