Right now we have the best keeper in the league, a good solid back 4 and midfield. A young Bobby Zamora, would be just what we need to complete our line up
Would Lawrenson or Horton convert all these chances we are wasting Yes they would walk into the side and make it better but the answer to the question is Peter Ward.
Lawrenson bringing the ball out of defence would really add to the current team - another option to playing it round the back four. He really was an exciting player to watch at the Goldstone. Hard to imagine,I would think, for those who never saw him play and only know him for slouching round that bloody coffee table on Match of the Day.
Another vote for Lawrenson. Supreme in defence and class when breaking forward - plus the huge psychological lift and confidence his presence gave to a team.
But given our current shortage of strikers it would be handy to beam in a fit Michael Robinson or even Bobby Z.
Peter Ward wouldn't be too shabby either but right now I'd opt for someone with a bit more aerial ability to cover for Ulloa.

From what my (much older) brother was telling me last week, Bobby Smith. Although he was well past his best when playing for Brighton, he could still "do it".
.
Dave Turner would strengthen our left side and enable who ever played wide left to concentrate on beating the full back but as we seem to create but miss so many chances it would have to be somebody of the Dave Sexton, Gary Nelson, Peter Ward, Bobby Zamora ilk to convert more of those chances
