I'm a bit of a traditionalist at heart, so it fills me with great joy when I encounter a smooth, freshly covered asphalt stretch. The cable mob did their damnedest to sabotage our once-glorious pavements, but recent tarmac has really started to make our streets beautiful again

ps I personally loath any of that patterned brick nonsense - as it plays HAVOC with my stiletto heels.

I love the big individual SLABS which I grew up with around the ROSELANDS area of Eastbourne.

Always a pleasure to skateboard on too (if regularly maintained by the local authorities). Oh happy times!

This type of arrangement means there's only one place you're gonna end up - & that's the HEEL BAR!

I like those BOBBLY ones you get at pedestrian crossings.
I bet they're for blind people really, but I like them best and I don't mind saying it.

A controversial choice there Easy - but it's good to know you have a favourite! I don't mind said bobbles when the weather is pleasant as it makes a rather refreshing change to the fascinating underfoot undulations. However, cometh the periods of inclemency: the little bastards can be somewhat LETHAL underfoot - particularly when one's footwear choice was inappropriate & one is completely off one's face! Are guide dogs bred to have special pads or something??

I used to like flat, smooth pavement, it was bestest for my rollerblades (when I was little).

In fact the memory of it all makes me want to go out and purchase a new pair of blades.

Above we have a fascinating variation of Mr 10's personal choice! This time, however, brass 'bobbles' have been cleverly integrated into the pavement to pleasure those who refuse to wear anything other than Converse Allstars on the plates'. Unfortunately, the designers don't seem give a f*** about the rest of us & probably have some deal with the local 'NO WIN, NO FEE' Solicitors (allegedly). You'll find their card at A&E btw ;)

It's little wonder you all have brain-damage in the north with pavements like that! Nice to see they are encouragingly wide though - & thus accomadating all you fat bastards perfectly. :)
