For me, it's between Grandstand, TMS and MOTD

Grandstand just about shades it. There's still some goosebumps whenever I hear that tune.

It's quite funny when you hear the full versions of these tunes and realise they all turn a bit pants after you've heard the bit they actually play on TV.

I'll give you Superstars - it is brilliant. But Grandstand shades it for me. It's so jaunty but builds throughout to a terrific crescendo. The tune should have been retained for some other sort of BBC Sport programme.

A close second the original Ski Sunday music (not the reworked Graham Bell era theme). Dreamt of going to The Alps and I later fulfilled that dream many times over.
