Have I ever blamed Adams ???

Erm I'm sure you wanted him out. Besides that's not my point. As much as I think it's a fairly hard task for Slade, it seems to be one rule for him and another for Adams, and that's my point. Adams in charge: the players are crap - Adams' fault. Slade in charge: the players are crap - not Slade's fault. Furthermore to add to this, are opinions from fans such as this.....

Perhaps he can see we have no midfield and the long ball up to Owusu is the only option we have. Saying that, it's a shame Owusu is a shit target man and only won about two headers in his time on the pitch. Oh, and the shit defence. Did I mention we were shit? Yes I think I did

Whereas Adams' is accussed of playing shit football. Seems to be no consistency.

...He was at a disadvantage from the start being forced to work with the 'dynamic duo' as his assistant and coach, they were a fair chunk of the reason we found ourselves in the shit yet they are still here?...

That will always be his getout from blame, for the moment.
But he IS the manager, and we ARE going the same shit losing at home, and we ARE going down despite his arrival.
So, fact is he's as culpable as Adams was, and today was his match in charge too.

Conclusion is, he's not the answer, and his tactics aren't any better than Adams.

Things must be bad if I'm agreeing with you but it's true that Slade is no better than Adams

Have I missed something here. Let's compare Mr Slade with the opposing manager, the Rt Hon Danny Wilson. Mr Wilson watches the play, notes some deficiencies in our defence, makes a few tweaks to his formation and tactics and...hey presto, they are three-one up in the blink of an eye. What a football manager is paid for, methinks.

Carn't blame slade for the shower of shit he has to manage, thier passion for the shirt is disgusting. I would f*** of the loanies and play some out of the reserves at least they would try 100% and be proud to wear the shirt

But Adams was the one that got the players in, and had two transfer windows to improve the squad, and get the players he wanted in.
Slade however, hasn't been able to get any players that he wants in, and just had a loan window to do so.

Slade's not accountable for Kuipers & the defence gifting Swindon 3 goals in 15 mins.
He sounded pig sick in the post match interview, and if there were an ounce of truth in Knight picking the team, We (fans) should be seriously calling for his head.

No for me Slade doesn't have a clue. I listened to him after the match, but he sounds like a plumber telling you the pipes are leaking.

I don't think we'd be in this place had we kept either McGhee or Adams -an unpopular and unhelpful thing to say though it is.

I think you are right. I am ashamed to say I agreed with the decision at the time to sack McGhee. But how lucky we were to have him - he made something out of very little, and I am sure we would not be in this situation if he was still here.

The last good football we played was under McGhee in the Championship - we all know that we needed a striker and didnt get one until it was too late (Noel-Williams). Think back to some of the passing and build-up play under McGhee and imagine what we could have done with Forster and Murray up front.

Since then things have gone from bad to worse. What I find interesting is that Micky Adams (whatever you think of him he has some merit as a manager) gradually sounded more and more depressed as time went on, and now the same is happening to Slade. Add to that the inability of either to get regular performances from the team and it starts to smell a bit funny. Is something behind the scenes making it impossible for any manager to manage?

In my opinion, for what it's worth, Slade is trying his best. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for the majority of players(exceptions being Whing, Elphick & Loft who actually showed some passion today).:annoyed:

We were in this position with Adams. I can't understand how you can say that. I agree about Slade though. To start with it was quite impressive to hear his interviews, he was a breath of fresh air (it helped that he was following Adams who was getting more and more bizarre... and what he was saying was a bit odd to start with). But when every time you say we need to be doing this and that, and then the next week the performance is exactly the same, it wears thin quite quickly.

Anyway he's hardly made a strong case that we should KEEP him, and that's what he needed to do with the short term deal. I will be very surprised if he's kept on.
