Other please specify option!!!!

Could have listed 30+ shows but not enough room :)
Yeah, but how you could even THINK of doing a poll without including Steptoe and Son is beyond me! (Not necessarily my all-time favourite but it's up there)

I have to say I agree with the OFaH overrated gang. It was good, but not that good. Whats great aboput this thread is all the nominations of shows that have got me thinking, yes that was really funny.

My nomination would be Green Wing. Loved that series

" take that, Dealing With Difficult People and f*** off"

Monty Python - showing my age!

Seconded, some of it has dated but the Latin Lesson administered by the Centurion to Brian of Nazareth in the Life of Brian is probably my favourite bit of film comedy ever "People called Romanes, they go the house?"

And yes I was forced to do Latin at School..... :lolol:

Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights took a while to get going, the first series was average apart from the fire investigator episode. The second series was brilliant; Manchester humour at its best.

But overall, I would have to say Fawlty Towers for its consistent brilliance.

"What's the matter with me? I'll tell you what's the matter with me. Me first week as a licensee, I'm stood here looking like a gay Satan cos somebody sold all me clothes on t'jumble. I've been rolled round t'car park all day dressed as a hernia and I've got 12 people in casualty with rubber burns".
