I was lucky enough to be at the filming of two Fawlty Towers episodes just outside Wycombe..loved the show,as Only Fools and Horses,also loved Blackadder and Morecombe and Wise...Open all Hours,'Allo 'Allo, liked very much Dave Allen but it is all of a matter of personal opinion..could never get The Office but each to their own...

Not enough US comedy on this list. If I had to do a top 10, the vast majority would be American.

My number one would probably be Bilko which is over 50 years old but still hilarious. Honourable mentions to Larry Sanders, Seinfeld, Cheers and Frasier (until it got mawkish) too

The UK has fought back recently with Green Wing and Thick of It - both of which should have been on the list
