[Travel] What is a Southern one day travel card to London with tube etc. called these days?

I'm planning a day out in March, I'm not a regular train user but I used to pay about £23 and get a ticket from Horsham to Victoria plus unlimited tube and buses etc.

Does this option still exist? If so, what is it actually called?

I can't seem find it on Southern's website and I know you need a degree in cryptology to understand purchasing train tickets these days which isn't helping me find what I think I want.

Thanks for any assistance.

I think they scrapped that type of ticket last year.

EDIT: It looks like they were planning to scrap it but people kicked up a fuss and they reversed the decision.

Got one a few weeks ago.

I find the trainline website easier. Not relevant for Horsham but off peak includes other services eg. Gatwick Express.

Thanks All for the responses so far, I think I'll pop into the ticket office and ask as it seems to be a minefield for something that should be second nature - no wonder we rely on cars so much.

If you think you’ll make more than a couple of journeys per year (off peak, to London or similar distance) don’t sleep on the Network card. Mine pays for itself 10x over by the end of the year

Cheaper i think to get a ticket to London, then use your credit card to tap in/out for the tube as you would an oyster card.
Nope, not from Worthing. It’s £4.69 difference

On the app now, choose your trains, click ‘other fares’ and ‘Day Travelcard’ or ‘Offpeak Day Travelcard’

That sounds promising, which app?

Apologies for the stupid questions, I am out of my comfort zone here.

You get the same option on the web site. It just won't let you select it as a destination. Select a London station and the option will come up.

I used to be a big fan of the travelcard, but have recently worked out, the advantages of not having one.

The price to Victoria is typically the same as any main line station. If you are happy to change trains and there is one near where you want to go, there are suddenly loads of options. Changing trains is often a lot less hassle than taking the underground. You also get a paperless ticket (not for everyone I know), but those bloody dumb touchscreen ticket machines at the stations just wind me up.

Depending on what time you return, there is also the cheaper Super off peak day travelcard. Ask at your local ticket office the times the peak/off peak/super off peak cards are valid for because they seem to differ depending on times and the station in London you intend arriving at. Victoria is definitely covered though.

I bought one on Monday.

It is called a "Day Travelcard".

You can include children that travel with you on this card at an additional £2 per child.

The best bargain is to get an off peak thameslink only train. Also unlike the southern super off peak - you can travel back between 4-7pm .
Also if you go to Farringdon or St Pancras then maybe using tube/bus not necessary.

And agreed always buy a network card to get further discounts (or other discount cards - they are £30 for the year)

I travel to London frequently to visit family and have always used oyster cards in the past.

I found it cheaper and more convenient when using multiple (unlimited) journeys on both buses, tubes and trams in different zones in one day - initial visitors oyster cards cost £5 which you have to get before going to London - you can save it for future journeys as they can just be topped up at self-service machines at shops and stations etc.

AFAIK you can’t get a digital Travelcard so you may as well buy a physical Travelcard when you get to the station. I use them all the time for work.
