we are drawing 0-0. Other results are going our way meaning a draw is currently enough but 1 goal from say Carlisie would send us down what would you want Slade and the team to do.

  1. Bring on another striker and go all out for the win, even if it means risking leaving gaps at the back
  2. Carry on the way we had been for the last 85 minutes
  3. Bring on another defender and sit back

Poll to follow.

Maybe something to consider but most people in the stands may know the other score lines but the players and coaching staff may not.

I seem to remember the season we stayed up, drawing 1-1 with Ipswich on the final day. Because of other results, conceding another goal and losing would have sent us down.

But I'm sure Gary Hart said afterwards that the players had no idea what was happening elsewhere......

Depends what the other results are and how good we are looking at the time. If it is Carlisle not winning that is keeping us up and Northampton are winning, then a defeat does no damage to us so we might as well push on and try to guarantee survival. However, if it is Northampton who are right behind us (losing 1-0 at Leeds) then we can't afford to concede the goal so would leave it as it is.

Also depends on how dangerous we have looked during the game, who is left on the bench and which team is in the ascendancy. Sorry was that not the exact answer you were looking for?

Correct, and he wasn't the only one, I remember Virgo almost swearing in relief in his interview!

I wonder if people would still head for the exits early to beat the queue for the bus?

Yep, you've invested all that time, money and emotional energy into this season, but the pull of a seat on the bus is still greater than the need to see how it all turns out.

Sounds complete madness, but I bet plenty still leave.

Nah. I reckon people only leave early when, oooh let me think, we are 2-0 down against the eventual League Champions?

bring on another striker and go for the win...when its in our hands we have to go for it, I would rather us go down fighting than sitting back and hoping for others to make mistakes.
