Agree, the grungy lefties many of them extremist Marxists and fans of Corbyn have no idea about class or style and because they live in dumps think every one else should to.

Champagne socialism is what we need, plenty of class and style.

Yeah, but those of us who aren't 65 yet, there aren't many better places than Brighton

I'm 32 and I'd happily live in most of those places.

Not London though. F**k London.

Blimey, I'm 60 and feel that half of those would be dead to me. With the exception of Truro, I've been to all of them and the only one that I'd happily live in is Bristol (although Newcastle wouldn't be too bad). Cheltenham, Harrogate, Tunbridge Wells, the Cotswolds ...? I've seen more life in a mortuary

I am bit of a solitary chap so that might explain the appeal of quiet places. Brighton certainly doesn't hold the same sway over me as it did when I moved here from Worthing twelve years ago.

On a Saturday afternoon I'd often take myself off to the gardens opposite St Nicholas Church. An oasis of quiet and calm, ideal for a relax and a read.

Now its been taken over by the crackheads' tents and the OB do nothing to move them on. Sad and sorry state of affairs.

Love Brighton of course. Always have and always will. Time for the Council and the OB to sort the place out. Sick of tripping over the crackheads blocking the pavements. The Council claims that the high level of students brings a lot of money into the city. 'Bout time they started using it to get the place smartened up.
Pretty much as I think as I'm very proud to come from Brighton and really hope it can get away from being a city that attracts the wrong types of people. In Brighton you either wealthy or poor it seems and 80% struggle I'd say.The city is desperate for a massive clean up and it needs to get rid of these tree hugging buffoons who don't like to contribute to society....that's the tip of the iceberg though!!!

It's the councils responsibility to protect the image of the city and to make it presentable for the millions of visitors who flock there.

Manchester and Sheffield ... loads of very deprived areas in both of those cities. A lot of Sheffield city centre still looks pretty tired. Granted Manchester has had loads of development but most of the suburbs are grim, certainly compared to Brighton and Hove's suburbs too! Don't know how you can slate Brighton then claim you'd live in both those cities. Most of the other places are much smaller and not really comparable with Brighton.

How many of those places have you lived in?

Just looks like a random list of places really.

I’ve spent fairly significant amounts of time, i.e at least a few months, in all of them.
It's a really strange mix of places. Some are quite nice, but a bit boring. Others are busy and fun, but not particularly nice. The only thing to draw from that, is that you just don't like Brighton. So why is it you don't like it, did you get dumped when here, is your ex wife here or what?
