Not frighten exactly, but packed deep-line underground platforms are the nearest most us are going to come to being caught like rats in a trap. None too keen on that. Always dodge the Victoria Line and Central Line if I have a choice. District and Circle lines are a lot more civilised. And a LOT closer to surface level.

Wise words. The Victoria Line in the rush is apalling. I would feel guilty about making a rat go through that.
