What firewall software do you use?

I don't know Withdean, I used to have ZoneAlarm and it properly got on my tits.

I now use Outpost and find it to be very effective and very simple. It is also superb at blocking out ads on webpages and makes my whole internet experience a far more smooth and enjoyable one.

Also, being open source means it is very manipulable

Zone Alarm Pro, better than the Norton Firewall which I also have.

Norton is worse than useless. Its so difficult to configure, and more importantly reconfigure if you've blocked something you want to allow, that it ends up off.

I use norton at the moment - but used zone alarm and sygate previously.

Of the two Sygate was far superior as Zone alarm went haywire a few times. Sygate takes up less resources and is a great all round firewall.

Same here. Can install it free if you got AOL broadband. Which is nice.

I really would recommend Agnitum Outpost to anyone who's not satisfied with their current firewall, or even if you are but want to try something else
