To be honest Ashley Neal was utter bollocks and Glen Thomas ruined a perfectly good stag day when he sliced the ball into our net at Brentford. Tosser

I thought it was Queen of the south

Started at Ayr United before moving to Southampton, then Albion. Left us, went non-league (Kingstonian?) then to Q.o.S. from there not sure.

Not that I'm a stalker or anything!

Bobby Isaacs was limited

Albion legend.

Came in for the last 7 games of the 87/88 season to replace Rougvie and we went from 6th to 2nd place. won 6 & drew 1.

Ok we lost the first 8 games the following season with him in the team, but i'm sure that was just bad luck.

Didn't Thomas also hit a crap backpass that a Brentford player latched onto and scored as well?? I seem to remember being directly behind our goal and shouting, "You utter f***ing wanker Thomas just f*** off!" I was a tad upset!

If this is turning into a crap player thread can I call fixtures??

Dale Jasper, crap name crap player.

No I rated Derek Allan as not too bad when we had that run at home in the hereford season him and mark morris at the back were rocks with Mcdonald and storer flying down the wings with Ian Baird and Maskell up front. That looked a really good side at home but away we were woeful.

However the centre back partnership from about February was Morris and Ross Johnson.

Sorry, but Briley and Farrington cannot be considered in the same breath as Hilton. Also, if we are talking crap, does the name Richard Tiltman not spring to mind?

I feel a little sorry for Tilts. He always gets mentioned when we talk about the worst player categories. To be clear I am not saying he was a star player, but just a few observations.

He was signed from Worthing, Isthmian to what is now the Championship is a step up for any player.
The fact that he replaced Dean Saunders was never going to be in his favour.
He was playing in a team that eventually finished bottom of the league.
He actually scored away at Barnsley with a header (if memory serves me correct).

I really believe there are a lot of worse players to have played for us and at a MUCH lower level, but I guess he'll always be tarnished.

At least Farrington and Neal kicked the ball occasionally. Hilton was frightened of it.

Farrington can no way be compared to Damien Hilton who really was utter gash & easily gets into my worst ever Albion team.

Farrington did actually play two decent games for The Albion. Easy to remember as so few! There was the classic goal against Newcastle where the ball rebounded off his arse from a cross & into the net. Then against Burnley when he came on as a sub, played a blinder & scored the winning goal after running half the length of the pitch. I think that was the last game he ever played for Brighton? Bellotti ordered Lloyd not to play him as another appearance would have triggered a £50'000 payment to Feyenoord.

After leaving Brighton, he went on to scale the heights with Runcorn & Vauxhall Motors FC. Last I heard, he was working as an estate agent on The Wirral somewhere. That was ages ago, mind.
