He did a nice one two with March for the first goal
He covers a lot of ground, he holds the ball up, he brings people into play and he causes problems in the box.
He just can't buy a goal at the moment unfortunately; it feels like when he finally gets his goal he'll go on to score regularly
COG and Hemed do have similarities are we having a laugh, Hemed far better quality, gives his all and we keep winning. Enough said.
You've answered your own question, Hemed is far better quality.I thought fans wanted COG to stay based on effort alone. Now Hemed is far better quality but not scoring. Yet since the Albion are winning-----some----then it's okay not to score?
Neither really. Context/sentence isn't right for 'proverbial' in this case, and 'preverbial' isn't a word..........
You've answered your own question, Hemed is far better quality.
Nobody is saying it's ok for him not to score.
I seems like the majority are saying 'for christ sake, ice the cake and just score, will you'.
In CoG's defence, he wasn't playing regularly with KLL, Murphy, March, a strike partner and 4 other positional players solidly in support.
That's not to say CoG would be any better this season.
Just that we can hardly like for like him when he was working with that god awful winger Baldock, Leon Best, Ledesma, Carayol and Gary freakin Gardener.
Exactly.COG did play as a lone striker in a very poor season, at least Hemed is playing in a 442. The comparison is not like for like.
Thanks. So glad I know that now.....................................
