[Albion] What do you consider an annoying/unbearable “neighbour” at the Amex?

Inspired by the changing seats thread.

So what winds you up or makes you change seats?

I have been reasonably lucky, when the Amex opened we had small kids behind us who kept kicking the back of our seats, which was irritating but not really a big deal. They are still there but are now taller than me so problem has solved itself

No shouty, abusive, know it alls, running commentaries, ref abuse, player abuse, racist people around us so no need to move…some may have moved away from me though

I think this thread could be amusing, as some seem to have some right wankers sitting close to them.

I moved once because I feared I was the wanker.

Had a habit of being a bit too sweary and the two rows in front of me had young kids. Not my finest moments. I did apologise to the parents at the last game of that season and they seemed OK though I imagine were quite pleased I wouldn't be there the following season.

There's a guy just behind us who seems to be getting more vocal in recent weeks. Seemed to start as a frustrated "Come on, Brighton" every now and again, but is getting more and more annoying.

There's shouts of "Forward", usually at the time we are actually going forward; shouts of "Quicker" when we are moving the ball quickly. The latest from this football genius was Thursday night, when he shouted "Get in the box, Welbeck!", about 2.5 seconds before Welbeck scored the curler from outside the box.

I moved once at Withdean to get away from a fat person who was taking an extra half seat either side of them. Seriously.

Club were very understanding and it wasn't the first time they had had to deal with this issue with that person. I did suggest they charge him for two seats.

He’s saying what we’re all thinking by the sounds of it.

The people - more than one neighbour - behind me who keep knocking their bottles of drink over resulting in a cascading stream of sticky liquid.

Why can't they be good neighbours and use bottle tops? Like any normal person would.

My Gucci trainers are ruined.

We moved (from one area of WSU to another) after a couple of season at The Amex.

Four lads sat to the side of us.. arrived late / left early before HT, likewise second half..

They probably saw no more than 2/3 of the game - up to them, but very annoying, so we moved.

Actually to much better seats.

I've mentioned this elsewhere but the bloke next to me in my old seat in Upper East – who is a fairly regular poster on here too – was coming out with increasing amounts of racist crap, so we moved. Didn't tell him we were moving. But he might know who he is and, if he does, then have a word with yourself and/or a long, hard look in the mirror.

Me and some pals in the early 90’s had ST’s in the West Stand (Goldstone) we were sat in front of the Caplin family who were very boring throughout what went onto be a great season (ish) always telling us to calm down and sit down, anyway i played cricket on a Sunday with the late Ron Pavey and he managed to move us halfway through the season, the season culminated in a play off trip to the old Wembley and you can imagine there faces when we all shuffled in in front of them at Wembley 😂

Back row of N1D are a group who have encouraged us to be happy to be moving seats.

Very quick to openly criticise our players. Always "lighthearted bantz" as they are pissed, and just enjoying themselves, but really annoying. Incredible that this is how they are right now and I can't imagine what they will be like when we are actually even a bit crap again.

(Fortunately they decided to skip the Forest game en masse as the recent terrible home form (LOL) was obviously too much to take...)

Moved from family stand with my two boys to east upper a few years back due to some teenagers in the row behind talking about who their most recent conquest was, who they had beef with etc... the final straw was when they started talking about who they were going to stab later that evening.

The one that's overexcited and stands everytime the ball goes near a penalty area so either I miss what's happening or have to stand up to see , as does 500 or so behind me right back to row ZZZZ

Well, I sit next you you and I don't remember any of that!

The boys behind us did annoy me when they first started attending (they were around 14 or 15 at the time), but age around 17 now they are fairly OK, a bit less sweary, and slightly more knowledgeable about the ebb and flow of the game, and even their expectations are slowly becoming slightly more realistic (albeit I suspect the main one has recently discovered the joys of a lunchtime skin-full judging by the slurred chanting :lolol: )

I should watch what I say though because a week after I was on here promoting the singing of "Just sold my car to Simon Adingra", the 'main one' (above) started singing it at the match, while giving me a knowing look
