You think so? I'd say we're even more stacked in midfield with Gross, Dahoud, Gilmour, Lallana, Ayari, Alzate + Caicedo/replacement. I can't really see a scenario where Milner starts in a midfield 2 for us

My expected gaps are

Possibly another full back but Milner, Veltman, Lamptey (confirmed in RDZ plans and staying) Estupinan, March, Gross gives RDZ lots of options.

Very unlikely with Ferguson, Welbeck, Undav AND Joao Pedro (more likely to play that advanced no.10 role but can play there) that RDZ needs more cover there.

Expecting further loans out for Rushworth, Moran, Connolly, Zeqiri, Hinshelwood, Turns, Offiah, Samuels, Leonard, Khadra, Karbownik and Peupion.
But they always tend to keep 1-2 u21s to blood into the main squad OR 1-2 loans don't happen as expected - so perhaps 1-2 of them will be kept back.

I agree completely but lots of the wise owls on here won't.
I agree with all you say except I do suspect that Lamptey may still be sold and that RDZ's support for him is perhaps more man management and maybe even to make it look to potential buyers that we are reluctant to sell.

If you rely on Welbeck, you're going to be in trouble. I very much doubt he'll feature in many of our games given his injury record.

Yep. Alongside Ferguson, Undav and Joao Pedro we need a striker who we can rely on to appear in at least 25+ PL games, and provide at least 9/10 goals and assists in a season or we'll be in trouble...
