The obvious answer is professional footballer. For various reasons, I never joined a club, but trained with this group every week. I was one of the better players in the group; whether I was good enough to make the step up is seriously doubtful:lolol:
I also had a strange desire to be a bus driver when I was younger...really can't explain that!

Now, I'm quite keen to go into teaching. I've recently started doing work experience at a junior school and I've really enjoyed it, so I think that is definitely a possibility for the future.

Hither (sometimes Thither)
In sleep i could've worn the thought of being a Robocop or a Columbo. Or the two. Robocopumbo. The electronic fever of one-eyed justice bounding through my steely leprosy, with a wife who loves it when i never come home and snuggles on a Sunday with my partner Doctor Octopussy with his 9 longed legs and unprogrammed hearts.

I just wanted to be a mum and stay home doing housewifey things, so yeah. I'm living the dream.

Never really wanted a career, I did toy with wanting to be the person who cut up jigsaw puzzles though.

brighton, actually
i want to be... a tree. i had no idea really (same applies now!).

the first job i got was using a 'computer' (offline text editor & printer), which any PC could do quite easily nowadays.. back then we had to use floppy discs that were really floppy, with serial read/write access!

that lasted 2.5 years, before seeing the light, and getting a 'proper' office job.. all downhill from there!

finding some old school reports, general outcome was inevitable- good head for figures, though suffers from poor handwriting (so gawd bless computers!), eager to learn etc..

In a pile of football shirts
Wanted to be a fighter pilot in the RAF (Dad was in the RAF) but I'm colourblind so that was a no-no.

Then I wanted to be a farmer till I smelled what a farm smelled like.

Never wanted to do anything else.

I wanted to be a pro footballer or a racing driver, neither materialised - not good enough at football, didn't hav ethe cash or contact to get into motor racing - I can drive a bit though.

Also when 17 wanted to be Liam Gallagher - not literally but lead singer in Oasis. I even had the anoraks, hair style, glasses etc etc... Sad.

Only ever the obvious two - Albion footballer or singer in a rock band.

As per the above though, football career never took off due to lack of talent, and to be a singer you need to either carry a tune or be good looking, so I was f***ed!

A footballer &, failing that, an artist / writer for 2000 AD.

Defo average at the former, painfully poor at the latter.

So I work as a project manager instead (IE got no skills of my own - just rely on other people with skills):nono:
