Thought I’d start a thread for those that listen to books.

Which parts of the book?

:moo:
Just the gulag, the escape and the walk bit. Various talking heads have suggested chunks of fabrication around the story, Google is your friend/enemy, and while you're at it check Papillon too, cobbled together from various accounts, none of which actually happened to Charriere, the author of TLW being accused of similar, cobbling together the experiences of others into one coherent narrative.

Most true ripping yarns are sadly largely bollocks. :)

E step calibration and other useful things. If i wanted fiction in my life, I'd read a party political bullshit book on behalf of the every single party

The Lantern Bearers, by Rosemary Sutcliffe, the fantastic writer of English historical fiction; her Sussex based ones (The Lantern Bearers, though excellent, isn't one of them) are pure joy.
