Just west of Worthing, quite a mild start to the day no frost on the windscreen but it seems to be mayhem in other areas not too far from here, where does this mayhem and snowy weather start. I guess the Downs are keeping the worst at bay:shrug: Missing out on the drama here big time. Not even sure the side roads are still frozen.

Although, fingers crossed about to set off at a snails pace to West Sussex :(

Will take me up to six hours I reckon!

just beautiful - 25 degrees, lovely jubley, just got back from a pissy lunch paid for by someone else - waiting for a possible call from London then I'll be off to Northbridge with the missus for a cheap Vietnamese meal followed by some old school cocktails at Ezra Pound. Wouldn't be dead for quids......

Nest 5 day forecast;
Thursday - Sunny, Min 14 / Max 30
Friday - Sunny, Min 17 / Max 36
Saturday - Partly cloudy, Min 18 / Max 34
Sunday - Partly cloudy, Min 19 / Max 31
Monday - Sunny, Min 19 / Max 37

You did ask, sorry (not)......

fair point, but you kind of get get used to it, freaking wierd as it all seems the first few years. Having said that, I do long for short days and cold weather (at Christmas), honestly I really do. The snow photos recently made me homesick, for a bit. On balance however I'm happy where I am.

In London village.
Still snow in N8 but just wet pavements in SE1.

Woking is white but not too bad however it changes a few miles north, the other side of the M3 around the Basingstoke and Bracknell area is pretty crap (not that you'd notice any difference from normal).

It was freezing and icy when I trudged into work at 7.30 this morning. Looking somewhat brighter ourside now, from the comfort of my office.

Chilly in the Heath, and a VERY treacherous walk from the station to the office. Five days now, and the Council have still done f*** ALL about the pavements, still covered in sheet ice. The only gritted areas appear to be the ones where some businesses have done it themselves.

Deep snow, been snowing heavily all night, stopped now.
Buses , traffic, and trains are all running fine as this is Scotland and snow doesn't stop anything.

I was bitching about the same thing last night.

In Wolverhampton, if there is a tiny threat to traffic flow (snow, ice, accident, traffic lights out, etc...) the council pull out all of the stops to ensure the traffic keeps moving. Yet they do nothing about the pavements. Third day of sheet ice on the pavements of Wolverhampton, but nobody cares, because the traffic is moving.

I once met a traffic person for the council and asked why there is so little of consideration of pedestrian needs in and around the City Centre... his answer, becasue it might slow down traffic.
