We would of won if the officials knew the offside rule. I really hope we survive as VAR would have given us at least six more points this season.

Last season there was some study that came to the conclusion that we’d lost more points due to shit refereeing than any other club and would have been quite a few places higher. United were the luckiest team in their unlikely second place.

We did have some luck early season but it has certainly deserted us with some shit refereeing thrown in again lately.

Didn't play well at all this morning 15 points when people were coming in with 19's and 20's...couldn't drive for toffee....golfers will know what I am talking about

Huddersfield being all but relegated today

Palace trouncing Leicester after we played completely ineptly, if that is a word, against them at home.

And to top it off, England totally outplayed in the second half of the rugby.

Only decent thing was a lovely walk on the seafront this afternoon in the sunshine!

Sets the bar now for our effort Tuesday night and if we go out and play defensive shite when a team who we saw off three one, went out and took the game to Leicester, then we deserve everything we get!

And to put the trivialality of sport into perspective - I spent Friday at the funeral and wake of a best friend's Dad and early this morning Mrs W's gandmother died. Oh and Friday I heard I didn't get the job I went for so remain one of the great unwashed. I'll swap your bad day for my shit weekend if you like ?

The recent run of bad results was predicted and expected (see Giraffe's tracker), so it should be simple to pick up from here and get the predicted wins and get to near 40 points.
The worry is that morale and confidence may have slipped badly, so getting to that predicted winning way may not be that straightforward. I have zero hope for any points on Tuesday, I'm afraid.

Also momentum, so vital in sport.

We may be on course with the tracker, which is great, but built from the autumnal base.

I’ve seen such stats, including unfair pen decisions. It doesn’t even out. ManC and ManU are always massive gainers, several unjust points every season. It’s not a strictly huge club bias correlation.

VAR will hopefully iron out most of it.

One thing to mention, so many players (not just one or two singled out on NSC) are clever cheats, making it a hard job.

You should buy a lotto ticket next week sounds like your due some good luck. Sport is trivial in the grand scheme of things it’s also a small escape from reality for 90 minutes for many.

A great point.

Which is one big reason why I’d look at positives if we drop. Life’s too precious to let sport get you down.

That is hardly fair.

Did that one we spoke about not come off then?

Interesting rumours about decisions in March at the moment though, so maybe you dodged a bullet

I’ve posted on NSC this season a few times that CP and Burnley are good teams. Just an opinion, but here’s why:

CP have spent over £200m and pay up to triple our wages per player. That buys you game changers, plus Zaha is dangerous regardless of his cheating. The annual NSC October “Palace are doomed” is just fun - too many good players, pace everywhere.

Once over the ill effects of the Europa League, Dyche got Burnley into gear. He knows how to win loads of PL matches. Great defence, goal scorers and a brilliant team spirit.

I hate myths and falsity. Before yesterday, when we were on even number of games Burnleyhad scored 1 more goal then us.

In their last 10 matches, when they have hit their purple patch, they have scored 15, we have hit a shit patch and scored 12 (not including the 2 extra time goals against WBA) - not sure that backs up your goal scorers argument - unless you are another Banjo Barnes fan?

The standard of refs is shockingly bad for the supposed best league in the world. Cardiff an abosute stonewall pen turned away yet Salah falls over a blade of grass and they can’t wait to point to the spot. It’s so blantenly corrupt.

Whilst not disagreeing with the gist of your post, I am a big Banjo Barnes fan, when the going gets tough he is exactly the type of forward you need. Duffy and Dunk were bullied into submission by both Barnes and Wood last week so I’m not sure how anyone can suggest that they are anything but good Premier League players in the right system. Dunk and Duffy are both Internationals and have been touted, until recently, as one of the best pairings in the Premier League. This is not a knock on them but a thumbsup to Barnes and Wood.

Yep, like Barnes. Never one of minority of anti Barnes bitches on NSC. I’m fine that’s he’s doing well - vital winning goals, can mix it up in midfield and a great target man. PL class. Dyche knows far more about football than us:

The Europa League for non top 6 teams is a proven nightmare on PL form. Every season it catches teams out. Burnley are now playing well.

Crystal Palace - you didn’t comment about them. What’s your view on their acsent with wins at the Etihad and Kingpower?

Great post. How could they?

What a shit thread on NSC..

Who gives a toss about your golf match or sodding Huddersfield...?

Palace had one of those games that goes from 1-1 with chances at both ends and ends up with a final goal in added time...

Most important result this weekend was Cardiff getting stuffed.

Agree, it's Cardiff and Southampton we need to worry about now, finish ahead of just one of them, and we are safe for another season at least.

They are picking up lots of work.
