Insider said that we asked for more tickets but they said no.

The official site says we got 2,700 tickets.

The capacity of Upton Park is 35,647.

I thought clubs were obliged to give us 10% of their capacity.

I think its 10% or 2,000 tickets. Whichever is less.

Sent my application off late so doubt Im going to get a ticket. Home End may well beckon.

That's what I thought but apparently it is a minimum of 10% or 2000, which ever is smaller!

This stinks if you ask me! It's not likely to be sold out!

Who's up for the home end?

Because he wants the official answer.

This is a bit of a piss take. I suprised the OB haven't asked the club to make more available. It's not a good idea to have hundreds of Albion fans in the hoome end. Which now looks likely!

Correct.

It does surprise me that we are not getting more tickets for this, as there is no way the home support will even remotely sell out.

Pretty much everyone I know who applied late have got a ticket.

Saying that tho, if we got another 1000 say, would we sell all of them ?

It's not up to the OB though surely?

You're joking right? After Sky sports they have the biggest infuence on what happens in football, right down to what day and time we play and even if away fans are allowed!

I'm not sure they have any real say so but they usually just tell the club that unless they do as they say their bill for ploicing the match goes through the roof.

If I thought West Ham fans were going to miss out on us having a larger allocation then I would say fair enough. But let's face it they won't be turning out in their thousands for this game. Like the Gills their will be plenty of room in the stadium for evereyone that wants to go. If they gave us the whole tier then policing and segrgation would be easier. Not to mention far less risk of trouble from Away fans in the home end. Everyone is happy. Apparently West Ham have a problem with this?

Indeed, I don't think we would if it was made AMS only and no pay on the day. Unless we've already over subscribed by that much?

Why would I be joking? Why would the OB be allowed to influence the ticketing policies of clubs??

If we have ALREADY over subscribed we could easily sell another 1000. or at least very close to that.

put it this way we have a far better chance of selling those tickets than West Ham do!

So if West Ham wanted to offer Millwall 50% of their tickets the OB would okay this?

Why do you think we got the entire stand at Palace? We didn't fill it but there must have been Palace fans that missed out on tickets. From a business point of view the club would like to see bums on seats laddy. The Police want an easy life and segregating an entire stand is much easier.

It's all done on Police 'advice'

But if the segregation is already in place, as is the case at West ham, then there's no problem for the OB?

The Away stand at palace is also usually segregated. Unless the likes of Brighton/Millwall turn up.

Can't see why WHU would want to turn away extra revenue?

From a West Ham Forum;

You get offered 1,500 2,700 or 3,500 (last one is on a no return basis)

They obviously don't think we're going to sell the extra 800. It is also a Junior Hammers game. i.e. kids go for a quid. This should fill the ground up a bit!

I guess our club can't risk being lumbered with unsold tickets!

this just in...

"Its not a kids for a quid game. Every year we have 2 home matches when all members of the Junior Hammers can gain entry for free. Saturday saw a crowd of some 25000 or so with everyone paying. Gillingham brought 1800. So with the extra 900 you will bring, plus the attendance of the Junior Hammers & their guardians whis will increase the crowd further. Plus a couple more of decent results will further swell the crowd.

I presume in anticipation of this, is the reason your allocation was kept at the standard 2,700"

Wouldn't it be nice if we could run these offers :(
