Rumour has it that he was offered the Watford job, but turned it down as it was only until the end of the season.

Okay, I didn't know that.
I know he may want a more extended contract, but I think he is more likely to get that in the championship.

Maybe if he waits about for the Burnley to drop out the premier league and offer his cv up then to get them back in the top flight.

Absolute Hammers binfest on Twitter.

The Dildo Brothers make Mike Ashley seem like Tony Bloom by comparison.

Tbf I can see Moyes doing a Steve Bruce at West Ham. Completely understand their fans, I’d be disappointed for sure. However unexciting he is however, he was a solid manager for them last time, and has a good coaching team including Stu Pearce.

I can see him keeping West Ham safe now.

Again I find myself casting my mind back to the 5 days in limbo as the Albion went between managers.

5 days at the very start of the closed season and the melts on here were having a shitfit.

Arsenal - clusterf**k with no obvious plan.
Everton - just give the big man the job cos of his sweatband.
Spurs - we need world wide media.
Now
West Ham - we're far too good for the likes of Moyes, ah David welcome back.

These are multi million pound businesses being run like school nativity plays.

Were it not so funny it would be quite horrifying.

Having just read the article in the Athletic about West Ham, I think you do school nativity plays a a disservice. What a shambles they are.

Agree. Dull appointment, but I strongly suspect that in 5 months time most Wet Ham fans will grudgingly accept it was a pragmatic choice.

I don't think they'll be grimly clinging on. Nor should they given the squad they have

Not bothered about what West Ham do it's Villa that should concern us. As long as they stick with Smith they look the most likely to go down.

You wonder why some of these chairmen are in football at all. They don't know about football, they lose money and are universally unpopular to the extent of putting their own safety under threat.

F***ing joke of a club. When us WHU fans were told we would be taken to “another level” by the dildo bros, we did realise that level would mean the championship.

I have to say I was surprised to see WHU go back down the same route. What happens exactly in 18 months time when this will all happen
again along the same pattern and how does that equate to progress? Answer: it doesn't.

West Ham fans are probably the most deluded in the Premier League. Pretty much moaned about every manager they've had always in search of 'attacking' football. I do agree there appears to be a real lack of strategy at the club with appointments and direction but the squad you have on paper looks OK and all the sneering at Moyes makes no sense to me. West Ham are the smallest London club in the Premier League and need to adjust their expectations.

Squad is very average and think they are a lot better than they are. Really don't think their squad is any better than ours.

Alan Sugar looked back on it as an awful period in his life. Hated by supporters, slagged off by hacks, dealing with back stabbing agents who crawled out from their lairs He may ultimately have made a great profit when he sold to Joe Lewis, but that didn’t sweeten the years of shite at the time.

Do you feel more should have been spent on the team?
