Apart from the fact the Met Line only runs between Aldgate and Watford/Uxbridge/Amersham (you mean the Hammersmith and City line) and its a bit longer than the other routes - it will get you there. Could always change for London Bridge at East Croydon, or do Victoria Line to Oxford Circus - Central Line to Mile End and from there to Upton Park, could be a bit quicker.

Cheers Hawk...you're right of course, its the Ham and City line. I think I'll take your advice with the Oxford Circus/Mile End route.
