It's already sold out, so I doubt if any more unaccompanied toddlers will be toodlin' down for a spot of toe-to-toe action.

it's time the football authorities stamped on thuggish behaviour by a bunch of yobs who justify themselves as being "football fans." There aren't many clubs left who justify this sort of reaction and everyone knows who they are but do nothing to bring it to an end.
dock their club points if they cause damage within a stadium or if they they are responsible for public order offences on the way to or from the ground. Then the clubs they ostensibly support will decide to act.

Without being picky, it actually says "young children". What age a young child becomes a child though, I cannot say.

Sorry, but I think that is an absolute disgrace. So they've basically decided not to tackle the issues, but to just accept a bad atmosphere, and warn families not to attend. Self fulfilling prophecy.
It's not even an evening game. I hope they are refunding monies to the season ticket holders who they are telling not to come.

I think it's actually quite sensible, let's be honest, no matter how hard they try they will never be able to clense the hostile atmosphere that a game between those to clubs causes.
So by warning people not to bring littluns with them it means they won't be subjected to what is probably one of the fiercest rivalries in British football.
If someone does take a small child to that game at least they have been warned.

Problem is, if you discourage the families from attending, and end up with a stadium full of young blokes, that itself will make trouble more likely.
They're advising their own fans aren't they? Not Millwalls.
Sorry, I get that, of course. But, something has gone very wrong, if between the two clubs they've reached a point where either of them feel that this advice is needed or justified.
Why would Millwall fans be looking at the West Ham website for information about one of their home games?
Yeah I understand it's not ideal, but at least West Ham have taken a pro active stance and said "look it's going to be a bit shit and not the ideal place for nippers, so give this one a wide birth"
I'll be honest I'm not sure I'd take my daughter away to Palace until shes quite a bit older, purely as last time it was quite hostile. And I think Millwall & West Ham you can triple that hostility !
They wouldn't.
The unsavoury element of the Millwall crowd will see this advice as a badge of honour - that a rival club considers them really scary. Their West Ham counterparts will be determined to show that's not the case. Inviting trouble IMO.

Theres going to be large scale trouble all day. Doesnt matter a shit that its a midday ko. this is on and theres nothing the police can do to stop it. You could make it a 9am ko behind closed doors and still wouldnt matter. I certainly wouldnt take my kids anywhere near this, or any derby fixture.

Also states that "children must be accompanied by an adult" for this game. Assume that means under-16s. f*** that. What teenager is going to want to go with a parent. Might as well just play it behind closed doors.
