Personally I don't agreee with shouting as I think it's counter productive, not constructive, and merely serves to release the frustrations of those doing it. Some people are able to contain their emotions, others are not. It doesn't make them less of a supporter, in fact it is often the most passionate supporters who care so much that they get worked up when things don't go as they would like. I appreciate that Mr Blobby is a dedicated supporter and he is entitled to hold the view that shouting in anger is acceptable. that is his opinion, some agree and others don't.

Personally,I don't agree with the statement "I pay my money, I'm entitled to......." I don't think paying for admission to a match entitles me or anyone else to be offensive and some of the things that are shouted are just that.

A "supporter" supports the team but does not necessarily always like what he sees. Whether he considers it OK to voice his opinions in the earshot of the manager, coaching staff and players is a matter for conjecture and there will always be disagreement on the subject.

What a load!
"Offensive" I presume you mean having a go at the manager or team. I hardly think thats offensive. It is a supporters right to shout encouragement, Praise or Critisism. We pay alot of money and we be around long after all those players and managers and even the chairman have gone. It is our club!

"shouting" So shouting is counter productive. Well if thats what you think maybe you're better off watching snooker than football. We can't have a nanny-state in a footrball ground. There are already enough things we can't do at football grounds today and if you start saying its ok to say this but not that and shouting is out of order then the whole thing falls apart.

I have a go If i feel i need to and that doesn't disqualify me from being a supporter. How many times has atmosphere been lifted by the home crowds shouting and screaming at their team after a goalmouth scramble only to surge the team on up the other end of the pitch.

Withdean is counter productive in atmosphere, You say something a little louder than anyone else and all of them looks at the person like they're mad. Those are the ones that aren't supporters.

I HEREBY ANNOUNCE NSC USERS AS THE ONLY REAL TRUE BRIGHTONS FANS.

Perhaps you can stand at the turnstiles at the next home game and anyone without a NSC user name will be asked to go home as they are NOT real fans.
I can't believe nobody has picked up on this. What an excellent idea. It's high time that NSC was publically and officially acknowledged as the Be All and End All of Brighton & Hove Albion. For too long we have lurked in the shadowy world of internet anonimity. Now is the time for action. Let us shed our geekiness, cast our mouses aside, RISE UP and take control.

I call for immediate patrol of all turnstiles on match days. I nominate Richie Morris to provide official NSC nametags which must be worn at ALL TIMES. Anyone attempting to enter the ground without an officially acknowledged NSC nametag is to be taken to the bins round the back of the Sportsman, and soundly beaten by the combined might of Everest and TLO, or made to feel small by London Irish.

We will soon weed out all those who claim to "support" the Albion without ever having made a post on NSC. The campaign starts at Burnley. Brothers, are you with me ?

Is there going to be some sort of ranking for NSC members? More posts you have made, the better supporter you are?

I've been a member for ages but i've only done under 800 posts. Somone like yourself Easy should surely deserve some sort of reward. The two of us are poles apart in terms of NSC support.

500-1,000 posts must sit in the South Stand wings.

1,001-2,500 means you can sit in the South Stand centre.

2,501-3,000 means you can sit in the North Stand.

7,000+ means you can sit in the Directors Box.

Chappers will have his own private box on the roof of the Sportsman.

Anyone with under 500 posts has to sit in the East stands and people with under 100 posts have to go in the Nature reserve.

Supporters of other teams who are members of NSC will be issued with a poncho and/or hat when their team visits Withdean.

What about people who have a post enshrined on NSC Gold? Some sort of bonus scheme? Maybe those lucky buggers will have first dibs on away tickets.

I think that sounds very sensible and workable Shelton. The number of posts made on NSC naturally goes hand-in-hand with how big a supporter you are, therefore priority should obviously go to those who dedicate their lives to posting on this site. Its beauty is in its simplicity.

Perhaps those in the "upper echelons" of NSC posthood could select/nominate other posters who maybe have not quite reached their levels yet, but can have them sit with them anyway so as to perpetuate the clique. For example, Crabbers, who with his postcount would be sitting in a heated penthouse executive box with smoked glass suspended over the police box, could nominate Captain Sensible to abandon the South Stand wings and instead sit with him for a match. And so on.

There's definately some milage in this idea. Nice one Shelton.

There's no category for 3001 - 6999!!!

Bugger. It was only a quick sketched map of the basics of the ides. How about:

3001-6999 - Seats in the North Stand which are padded, heated and can recline (to help people watch our defense distribute the ball without annoying neck pains). And a cup holder.

Maybe the name tags could carry other information? Something like:

HI! My name is
EX SHELTON SEAGULL
My real name is
TOM
I am
SINGLE

Something like that maybe?
