At long last Chips in the North Stand today.

I thought that the reason there wasn't previously was because the cooking of them was a fire risk. Has this risk been overcome with a new van.

Chap behind me had them smothered in Ketchup and they looked quite good and quite a large portion.

Are they the only ones in Brighton to give a large portion!

Surely even if they did cook chips out in the open :)lolol: ), the rain would do nothing to help a potential fire because it'd the oil would act as a fuel and it floats on water!

(I think.... science dunce :dunce: )

100% correct DÃnN¥.
The worst thing you can do with burning chip fat is attempt to extinguish it with water. This will cause it to combust big time.

If you can, turn off the heat source, place a damp (not wet) tea towel over the pan and call 999.
If you can't place a damp tea towel over the pan, turn off the heat source (if possible), shut the kitchen door as you leave the kitchen, call 999, and f*** off out the house.

Here endeth todays home fire safety lesson:)
