Football club's solicitors resign

WREXHAM FC's law firm has resigned.
Manchester based Zatman & Company yesterday said its position was untenable and has severed links with the club.
The latest twist in the Wrexham saga comes after the legal firm claimed it was bombarded by angry fans.
A statement issued by the company said yesterday: "Zatman and Company solicitors in Manchester and their senior partner, Andrew Zatman, have received many phone calls and e-mails from Wrexham supporters, some of which have been abusive.
"These communications emanate from wrongful information that has appeared on a website over which they have no control or connection."
The statement said Zatman is not and has never been, legal adviser to or for club chairman Alex Hamilton. It acted for Wrexham FC under another chairman.
Because of clashes between fans and club bosses, and comments and documents on internet sites, the company resigned as Wrexham FC solicitors on September 13.
The statement added: "We therefore have no ongoing relationship with either Mr Hamilton or Wrexham AFC Limited."
Mr Zatman said last night: "We are in a very difficult position because client confidentiality prevents us from saying what we want to say, but we have had so many calls we had to say something."
