I have been very critical of TE recently and I stand by my comments, however it sounds like he was awsome tonight and got a goal. Well done Tommy, Russell, Elliott and all concerned.

Idiot. Scoring a goal doesn't mean he can defend. He's been an embarrassment this season and has cost us at least one game single-handedly plus several goals. We've got two better centre-backs at the club so Elphick can do one.

Sounded like his defending was top draw. Credit for a good performance. Not need to be a complete tool TCB.

His defending was very good tonight. He did or shocking cross field pass but then sprinted back and made a great last ditch tackle.

Complete badger knows nout, but we all know that.

Oh that's ok then, it's all fine again. Let's forget Southend's winner. Let's forget every other time he's been raped this year. Let's just forget it all because he kept the mighty GILLINGHAM out.

Your kind of missing the point in a desperate attempt to maintain a tedious grudge. He had a good game tonight, and hopefully he has turned a corner and leant a lesson.

I apologise that this doesn't fit with you ridiculous trigger-finger reflexes when judging a player, but everyone has a dip
in form.

Well said. And well done for having the balls to say so too. Lindfield by the sea told me he shouldn't even be in the side only 2 nights ago. I wonder if he'll eat some humble pie he's so keen to see others scoff (when he's not getting splinters from the fence he spends so much tim sat upon that is!)

He did play much better, but he could have got a yellow inside a minute and that wouldn't have helped his game ... in fairness though good performance

Have to disagree with the majority on this one. He had his moments this evening but also showed once again why he is often a weak link. Absolutely needless, stupid challenge in the first 2 minutes for which he was incredibly lucky to escape a booking, and then another needless booking later in the first half. One dreadful cross-field ball which nearly cost us a goal (OK, fair play he got back and sorted it).

Oh well, it's a game of opinions I guess

He had a mixed game tonight. Looked solid as a rock at points, then almost gifted the Gills a goal at another. Still needs to stop those stupid challenges from behind though.

Wtf Elphick was our best player tonight and proved he is our most talented player at the club.

He was much improved tonight but still looked a little dodgy, I wouldn't say he's our most talented defender either let alone the most talented player at the club!
A very good player imo but error prone and often seems unable to pass effectively from defence.
