Surrey have announced a pre-tax loss of £502,000 for the 2010 financial year.

The club suffered a £5m fall in turnover to £20.5m and blamed poor ticket and hospitality sales during Pakistan's Test Match at the Oval.

The match against England began on a Wednesday, and was closely followed by the Lord's Test

They will have to hope that KP makes a few appearances next season then to get some paying customers in, trouble is, I can't see him playing many....

How can Surrey turnover £15m more than Sussex, yet manage to make a greater loss and have such an abject playing side?

Test matches and one day international cricket account for the money.
