Words are cheap Clampy, actions are better………

https://www.refugeesathome.org/

Let us know how many you can convince your Mum and Dad to take in?

No excuses, this is where your obsessive tyre hits the road of reality……….there’s no shortage of refugees to house and with your welcoming disposition getting some in will be a penalty kick.

Bon chance.

Why should it be a personal issue? I believe we should end homelessness, that doesn't mean it's my duty to house people. It's the duty of mainly of the government and the country as a whole to support it. We pay our taxes and money is allocated for these services, the same for social services to protect the vulnerable in society.

It's very easy to take your position, be completely selfish and ignore the issues but then you can't take the moral high ground with those that do

This is a BHA fan site, if people want to project their status as a mega BHA fan I would at least expect them to go to some matches. Similarly if people want to project their personal beliefs about the rights of newly arrived immigrants in this country, then that message would be more credible if they had skin in the game.

The single best way to do that, is to host one or two of them, especially now when there are over 20k alone coming across the channel. Those that say they welcome them can do so practically, not just post about it on a football website. This support is not at their own expense there is state help too.

For my part I won’t help them because I think we have our own problems to deal with first, like homelessness. As for taxpayers money, it’s far more likely the Govt is borrowing money to spend on these additional demands as using taxpayers money, either way, these new arrivals are costing millions.

People like Clampy can scratch their itch and help the taxpayer if they took an immigrant in, till then it’s just noises from an empty vessel.

I don’t have room to host so I give to a charity that helps pay for housing and other basics for refugees. I also work with some vulnerable immigrants at a supported housing project.
And I pay taxes.
How many homeless people do you host?

What about economic migrants as most of these parasites making the crossing fall into that category? They prey on mugs like you

So there it is, when it comes to the problem of providing secure housing to refugees arriving in the UK you won’t open your own door.
