Couldn’t see anything regarding Webster’s injury. Any updates?
Think I read somewhere that RDZ said it wasn’t a big problem or words to that effect.Couldn’t see anything regarding Webster’s injury. Any updates?
This is the key piece for me.Think I read somewhere that RDZ said it wasn’t a big problem or words to that effect.
In reply to Stat’s post, I get the feeling that he isn’t a De Zerbi cb and wouldn’t be surprised to see him leave at the end of the season. He would be quickly
snapped up by another club providing he doesn’t have another lengthy spell on the injury sidelines.
Colwill for me. Lad looks class act. Realise he's been out injured, so Van Hecke might get the nod and I'm sure he'd do a sound job. But Colwill's coolness under pressure reminds me of Ben White. He'll have a high level future, even if it's sadly not with us.I dont think he’ll play against palace. I wonder if it’ll be Van Hecke or Colwill?
He must have given the ball away about 5 times in the first 20 minutesOdd isn't it? I thought Webster was good at the weekend.
Well, if VH is above Webbo, he would definitely move out.I think he gives away too many sloppy passes a game for him to be a shoe in playing RDZ ball.
He can be very good but seems to have at least 3 brain farts a game.
Good squad player but prefer Colwill given the choice.
Need to see more from Van Hecke before assess if he's above Webster in the pecking order
I don't disagree with you, l think he's fine when he plays. The problem is that the alternative us to play Levi Colwill, but again he seems to be hugely injury prone, plus of course that as things stand, he will be gone come the end of the season. This is the key piece for me.
Hopefully, he's not out long term because his injury record is appalling for a 28 year old in their prime (he averages 27 games a season out of 38). He's also admitted to taking a game or two minimum to get up to speed again, and De Zerbi's style needs absolute match sharpness both physically and mentally to execute.
I actually think he does suit his style, and his return has been quicker than usual but I question whether he's fit enough for long enough to become a genuine regular. If fit, he starts but sadly that's a big "if"
Unrivalled in Europe? . . . crikey that's taking it a bit far. He's outstanding running with the ball. A real marauding CB, possibly unrivalled in Europe when it comes to progressing that way. Seems a bit lost in this style for whatever reason. Decent passer, no doubt, but just doesn't seem that confident doing what RDZ wants. Clearly a fit Colwill and Dunk would be RDZs preferred pairing.
He was injured for a while before coming off. Maybe that affected his performance. That said, I share your views about him.No update but he didn't half look out of sorts playing De Zerbiball, on Saturday.
It pains me a bit to say it as I’ve always been a big advocate and supporter of Webster but a choice between a fit Colwill and Webster is a no-brainer at the moment. No update but he didn't half look out of sorts playing De Zerbiball, on Saturday.
I'll admit I have had moments wondering about Websters future.
The fella is a top EPL centre back, but is he a De Zerbi centre back?
