If 50 isn't enough then we'll need a couple of other points from somewhere.

I find it hard to believe our home form will be this:

DWDWWW

Considering previous it's looked like this:

LLLLWLLDL

So you think we'll win 6 of our last 13 games, despite only winning 7 of our previous 33?

The simple answer is that if we don't turn our home form around we are doomed. I am assuming that a new manager who actually looks interested at home games and actually has a bit of tactical nous can turn it around, hence my blind optimism!

I hope you're right but I'm not getting my hopes up! The next 2 homes games (both winnable) will decide our season I reckon. If we can't beat Southend or Yeovil at home, who can we beat?

This week is crucial. We have two home games and most of our rivals have two away games. We need to win a majority of home matches between now and the end of the season to stand any chance and the crowd needs to play its part.

Don't those results take us to 53 points?

Realistically, we're going to loose some gays we should be looking to win, and win some we shouldn't really be winning.

I do think there's enough games left to stay up though, definitly.

There's every chance of some improvement at home. I think MA had a problem at "The" Withdean from his previous time. He was continually winging about it as if DK had told him we were playing at the Emirates and then brought him to Kenilworth Road instead. Pitch, changing rooms , whatever. A manager deals with those things and does not allow them to become an excuse for failure- not publicly anyway.

Eventually it became a fortress, thanks to a certain goal machine scoring more han we conceded. If the manager has a problem in his own head about conditions at Withdean, it will communicate itself to the players.

Having managed at lower level, RS is much less likely to be fazed by the Withdean situation- he was genuinely struck by the quality of our away following at Brisbane Road. Who knows, a couple of jammy home wins and we could have a noisy 7k back at Withdean for some vital end of season 6 pointers!

What are the odds on Gannon's Stockport relegating us now?
