Is fine by me.

Build an even stronger squad, release the Harley's, Painter's, Ankergren's etc...

5m kitty for Gus and I reckon automatic promotion will be there for the taking.

Watching Reading tonight we can easily be as good as that next season.

Bring it on.

This season isn't quite dead. Bag a win on Saturday and we'll all be cartwheeling.

However, assuming that you're right (and I think that you are), it has been great and we have put down a serious marker this season. Gus has taken us further up the league ladder every season to date so even a slight improvement would put us in the playoff spots next year.

Bring...it...ON!

EDIT: Ooops! You're so right I felt compelled to agree twice.

I've realised over the past few games there are just too many aspects to the team that are too weak, right now to succeed against the best teams in the division. I've got no problem with another year in the championship. A new keeper, and a goal scoring striker should be at the top of the list. I know people love CMS on here but if we can get our money back on him I'd be delighted

After tonights performance against a team currently on a high makes me think anything can happen in the remaining games. Left the AMEX tonight very proud of the lads. I still reckon we are in for a chance of the play offs but if it's Championship again next season then I'm looking forward to an even better season after a small re shuffle in the summer.

Spot on DJ. A new keeper and striker are the 2 priorities.

I would have settled for a good first season in the Championship and a top 10 finish will be just that. With a bit more consistency and quality, we can really challenge next season. If we went up this year, we would probably come back down instantly. Better to wait and do a Swansea or Norwich.

We were not excellent tonight. If we were excellent we would have come away with three points. It was a good game to watch. but I have seen us play much better.

When have we played much better? I'd like to know because I agree with the op. I believe we were unfortunate with the ref etc but even so were excellent.

Well I've only missed a handful of games this season and I haven't seen us play too many games better than we did tonight. I was at Cardiff away and I doubt we'll better that this season, granted.

But tonight I thought we were the better team throughout. First to every ball, more creative than usual going forward, solid in defence and had many more chances than them to go and win the game.

At their place on New Years Day we were poor, but to be fair, they also made us look poor. They made us look silly in the first half with their pace and possession, and in the second half they even sat up as though they were just toying with us. McAnuff & Kebe ran at us and we just couldn't deal with them. Tonight, look how deep those two were forced back. It's not as if they quite parked the bus like West ham did either, just that we pretty near dominated them for the whole 90 mins.

I'm very proud of our team tonight :albion:

I am too and agree with every word. Talking to a Reading mate after the game, he said they were very lucky to win as we played so well. I think we still have a chance of the playoffs if we can get something at Upton Park. Stranger things have happened but all in all, I am happy with where we are and what we've achieved this season. I wanted us to finish in the top ten and we will, I'm just not sure where in the top ten.

Also release Barnes and Smith and send Vokes packing, all 3 are shit at this level they have let the rest of the squad down
