This just in from Reuters...

Hundreds of troops were yesterday parachuted into the remote Canadian town of Yellowknife amid fears of imminent civil insurrection.

Tensions were realised to be at breaking point after a poll on vigilante action astonishingly showed almost 90 per cent of the population poised to take up arms to protect themselves.

And as respect for the local forces of law and order reached an all-time low, Chief of Police Captain K. Noo called Ottawa to summon up reinforcements to create an exclusion zone around the troubled wilderness outpost.

One Yellowknife Mountie, who asked not to be named, said: "We are quaking in our knee-high white boots. It seems like these people no longer have any regard for the law."

To be fair, if you can't beat your 11 year old wife (who is also your daughter), because federal law prevents under 12's being prosecuted, then what other choice is there?

'Who's your favourite athlete of the month? Read about our March athletes in the sports section and cast your vote here. Poll open until noon on Monday, April 7.'

Erin Bennett currently leads with 77% of the poll....but i believe we can take him down

I'm voting for LeeAnn and LisaMarie Fridgen, mainly due to their name but also i quite like the idea of an athletic threesome...They have only 4% currently....may NSC decide in favour of all that is great and good.

They need around 300 votes to stand a chance.

299 now...

Good lad!

Best of a pretty ropey old bunch. But in true NSC tradition of voting for identical 16 year old sisters, they get the vote.
