We certainly have the players to do much better but the tactics seem to be a shambles at the moment VIRGO playing up front x2 right midfield x2 and finally right back all in 1 match very harsh on him felt for whing when he went off did nothing wrong, thornton came on he was almost playing centre midfield leaving virgo to run the whole right flank what was that all about. Adams is getting wrong and badly nearly every game not sure i can see this working :(

That's the frustrating thing. We SHOULD be good enough, but all season, we really haven't been.

I agree. We have a stronger squad than last season, plus some amazing loan signings. We should be right up there.

Agreed.

From what I understand Thornton is a central midfielder. He seems creative so why not play him there from the start instead of putting him on as one of 3 central midfielders with no right winger.

Looking at the squad on paper makes me confident we can turn it around.

Looking atthe tactics does not.

I think that he is better with the space given to him if he is out wide, rather than in the centre of midfield

Could not disagree more. We have been crying out for creativity in the centre for years. We finally sign someone who is creative and a natural central midfielder so to stick him on the wing (or worse on the bench!) is in my eyes criminal.

Why have him on loan if we arn,t playing him in his strongest position

I just think that Thornton is a natural winger with his ball skill as he gets bogged down and swamped in central midfield. If we want a reasonable central midfielder what is wrong with his brother Sean on loan from Orient to Shrewsbury if we can afford his coke, allegedly.
