Canonman, you fell for ernest fishing the other day and told him he's not BHA. Now you're against palace songs. Are you really BHA or just moaning about everything because NSC gives you a voice? Why not stop us playing in blue and white? Have you an issue with this or shouldn't you just shut the duck up and do something better with your time? Lots of voluntary organisations in need of help

Sorry mate but that guy is coming out with some really silly stuff.

Silly stuff? So you instigated the Palace songs 40 years ago, now you have got older you don't like the younger folk doing it? Or have I missed something?

This tirade of we hate Palace songs is really getting on peoples nerves now and I think the only way to stop it is by the rest of the crowd to start booing as soon as it starts up, maybe the message will get through, you never know it might make them come up with something original. Unless somebody else has a suggestion.

Why don't you come up with something original? Why does it always have to be left to 'them' (whoever 'they' are) or 'somebody else'

I started watching Brighton play in the early '80s. We sang anti-Palace songs back then, and we've been singing them ever since. Why all of a sudden they get on everyone's nerves? It only seems to be all the JCL's who want to turn up and sit in a library for 90 minutes with maybe a ripple of polite applause when somebody scores a goal, who are doing all the moaning.

I hate the we hate palace song, except when playing them. Really not bothered about whatever else is sung though I do like other anti palace songs but thats because I'm a JCL.....or rather I was in 1976

Says the man who advocates fans booing their fellow fans. (And doesn't know the difference between 'their' and 'they're')

I'll stop singing anti Palarse songs when they stop singing that "Brighton take it up the bum" song!

I know I was one of the instigators of the Palace songs along with others back in the day, but back then it wasn't sung every match as it is now.

I remember singing P-A-L-A-C-E , the name of who the Palace manager was has got VD. We hate Crystal Palace , we hate Palace too , and PALACE. My old man said be a Palace fan. In your Palace slums. WE HATE PALACE , WE HATE PALACE. We sang these every game in the old days and long may it continue.

If anybody is willing to pay for my ST and drink, then perhaps i would drink lager and sing exactly what they deemed the right song and lyrics. As it is i will drink Harveys and sing and join in with what i feel like on the day.
I happen to enjoy myself and mostly do not spend most of the match listening or worrying about what others care to sing.
I did not stand up last night when the Palace chant went up......i might next week, i might not.......my choice.
With so many moaning about this song, that song etc, i'm not sure there are many left that are acceptable. Each to his own i suppose, some i am not keen on myself, but if others want to sing them.......fine.

Some of the miserable gits won't be content until the atmosphere has been reduced to a 5 min drone of 'Alllbiiion' in a sanitized, library style environment with occasional clapping to the opposition allowed.

I have similar views as the OP. I am not sure why i have to hate a south London club or people who are fans of this south London club, seems a bit primative to me, the same as other football rivalries.

It must be hard singing those anti Palace songs whilst eating a prawn sandwich.

I've been told not to engage in any conversations with you.

Personally don't see the point of chanting it every game, but then I've got no real issue with those that want to do it either, harms no-one.

On the other hand, those that think that not joining in with it makes me less of a fan than them....yeah, that I'm not such a fan of.
