We are the physically weakest team in the league

Nothing ever looks like sticking. No one looks like winning 50/50s or high balls. Greer and Dunk are practically the only strong players.

No ones scared of our midget front 6. We miss an Ulloa/Murray SO much.

Oh well. FFP etc.

Gordon Greer is a COLOSSUS. Another fantastic headed goal today.

Unfortunately he also appears to be a ONE-EYED colossus. Seemed to never once notice Calde constantly making his way down the wing in acres of space. Sake!

Calderon was woeful today. Not sure if he actually defended... Hit the nail on the head with the attackers. Baldock should've at least hit the target from Bennett's cross. McCourt slowed down the play unnecessarily, but he was good when he actually sped up, nearly scored too. I don't blame Hyppiä for this. But we do need a striker who is strong and can hit the target.

But its clear to see that Bennett and Calderon are pretty much not expected to defend. The system we are playing at the moment is a complete mess.

LuaLua in the middle, no width except for the wing backs who then get caught out going the other way.

We look scared to shoot, aerially awful and have the 7 dwarfs lining up for us atm.

How soon is now?
If the expectation is that our full backs are going to act as wingers, then we need to to play a back 5. Neither Calde/Bruno and Bennett can be expected to attack and defend for 90 mins. The cover needs to come from 3 central defenders. We looked narrow today, and without any penetration. Spoke to a Boro fan on the train who said they were poor today, and he thought we were possibly the worse team they had played all season, but said we had a nice ground - but we knew that....

Nail and head, we have said it all season. Our sourcing of players is simply not right, as we are lightweights in a heavyweights league.

Men against boys today. And leave Calde out. He is being ASKED to be our only width in that system. At the end of the game he chased back fully 80 yards to win a half challenge. The rest, Greer excepted were behind proverbial bike sheds with 10 Benson and a Razzle for most of the game. Spineless, weak, leaderless team.

100% this.
We are being bullied every game by the opposition.

Boro were weaker than us even their keeper had cramp and he had nothing to do.

They also set out to kick us out the game and the ref let them. Where was the yellow card in the first minute.

I think they are there. Well I hope they are.

It's just that the players have lost all faith in them.

The tactics are either shit or we don't have the players to make them work. ONE league goal from FOUR strikers in total this season and the inevitable soft goal conceded in virtually every AMEX game should have alarm bells ringing surely?
