It's almost like we've played most of the season with most of our best players injured. The team that are currently on the pitch should by all rights finish about 14th. No shame in it. Go again next season with some actual players.

There is an element of irony. Widely reported Bloom’s ambition was to consolidate as a regular mid table premier league club. RDZ has fallen victim to his own bar he set for the club. He set the expectation and ambition last season. Been miles off it for most of this season, with a worrying feeling that he’s given up, which has been reflected in the squads overall application.

I personally would rather we sack him before the end of the season. Do it on our terms. Send that message that no one is bigger than the club and we’re not your stepping stone. Let him leave with a sacking on his record due to our horrendous form.

Currently 11th in the league, below f***ing BOURNEMOUTH.

I wonder how that will make Tony Bloom feel? That's a huge step backwards.

I suspect his mind will have been made up tonight, and De Zerbi will get his marching orders at the end of the season, if he doesn't walk before.

Once we didn’t do anything in January this was always the likely outcome

He'll be fine about it.

We are now a top 11 club which somehow feels more inclusive and fits the Albion's ethos.

It's one louder.

I think you need to revisit what TB said a while back.

threads like this are really annoying because it means legitimate discussions and criticism gets drowned out and lumped in with the melodramatic wailing

So if you sack RDZ who are getting in Big Sam? We’re not that bad. We’ve had horrendous luck with injuries and adjusting to Europe and a very bad run of form since the New Year. I’m the first to admit I find it frustrating watching us Fanny about at the back every time (when it works it’s beautiful but it is fine to clear it every now and then) and to pass it sideways and backwards in the final third. But under RDZ we achieved the highest league position ever, got into Europe for the first time and were a penalty kick away from an FA Cup final.
Last season over achieved? - absolutely. Take that andEurope out of the equation and we’d be very happy with where we are this season.

If RDZ stays (and it’s looking more likely with Ragnick going to Bayern and Slot to Liverpool, he was hardly likely to go to Barca) then a lot will depend in the summer transfer window.
Another season like the second half of this one and I’ll be on board the “maybe move on train”.

Whilst highly unlikely, our remaining games are all winnable. Finish on 59 points and highly likely qualify for Europe again and this bad patch will be forgotten.

Good to dream…
