Showing tonight at the Connaught in Worthing.

For those interested. Along with Black Flag, Bad Brains and others Ian Mackaye shaped the hardcore punk scene as frontman for Minor Threat before forming Fugazi.

One of my favourite punk bands.

Anyway, it’s on tonight and I shall be there.

Loved Minor Threat too. I actually saw Fugazi at the Zap back in the day (before I became a raver and was at the Zap every week).

I saw Fugazi at the Brighton Corn Exchange back in late October 2002. I only realised very recently, that their last ever gig was a few weeks later on the 4th November 2002. So it was literally one of the last times they played when they played that show in Brighton.

The Fugazi rhythm section Joe Lally and Brendan Canty have a band called the Messthetics with an amazing guitarist. I saw them a few years ago at the Hope and Ruin. They are worth checking out. They play instrumental rock with a twinge of jazz.
They released a jazz album on Impulse Records a year or so ago with saxophonist James Brandon. They toured the UK last month and played Lewes Con Club. It was superb.
