WBA would suit Poyet

Not sure it suits WBA having dumped Di Matteo for why and who they did.

Though maybe they're regretting that now!

I'm sure Gus would go to West Brom if offered.

Not so sure West Brom will offer it to Gus.

I've had this worry ticking away in my head for a while. Wolves are a non starter for Poyet. WBA would offer Gus the chance to manage a Premiership club who are secure and believe in good football.

This is bonkers - Gus is the manager of a team that have just come 10th (TENTH) in the Championship. Why on earth would WBA want him when he hasn't proved himself at anything higher? These threads are really irritating.

Are WBA likely to trust their Premier League survival on someone who's never managed at that level and their highest honour is a Third tier title?

I both hope and suspect not.

West Brom would be ideal for Gus at this stage of his career as they are a club that do not expect to be and realise that they will not be challenging for major honours. Good cup runs and shock results against the Premiership big boys would keep their fans happy. Gus would offer them the chance of becoming the biggest club in the Midlands and generate much media coverage. To be quite honest I think that this is Poyet's level. I doubt that he will ever go on to manage one of the Big Boys.

It has a tradition of attracting managers who believe in playing attractive football. Should Hodgson get the England job then we could well have a problem. It's the type of club that would suit Poyet and Vicente.

Also has a tradition of being very tight on budgets which is why they have tended to be a yo-yo club, so yes I can see the attraction and it seems a more likely bet than Wolves but there is plenty against it as well and he wouldn't, I suspect, be the first choice of their chairman, Jeremy Peace, who is not a fan of outspoken managers
