I say good luck to Rooney with the Plymouth job. He never has to work again, he could easily get a job on Sky but instead has chosen to give management another go. Shows his love and passion for the game that he's prepared to relocate hundreds of miles from the NW to take the job. He really doesn't need to be sat on a coach back from Preston on a cold January night but he has chosen to.

I suppose the advantage is he's taken it at the start of the season. So they'll be time to repair things for the new manager after he's sacked.

It's certainly true that our Wayne has been getting a lot of bad press, much of it unfair in my opinion. Yes ok the wheels did come off for him massively both in the States and at Birmingham, but his allegiance to Derby County, and the incredible job he did in keeping them up seems to have been forgotten by many.

Spot on, he's held in very high regard among Rams. Don't know much about DC but the Birmingham job was a poisoned chalice. Give him time and I think it'll work out. Born leader....

Derby had a brief spurt of success when he first arrived but then ended the season with 7 points from 15 games. That brief spurt is now over 4 years ago and is as good as it’s got for his managerial career. His bad press is totally just; he’s a crap manager.
