I don't think any of those players, perhaps with the exception of Danny North should he apply himself, have the ability to make it as professional footballers. More likely, the club would cease to exist within a couple of years.

Relegation = almost certain doom.

Thanks for your insight chaps!

Maybe I was being a bit pessimistic because I know a few of them :p but I don't really understand what Danny North has done to find himself frozen out of the first-team at the minute. I think if he was given the chance then at the end of the day he could come good.

I think most people up here know that the club still has financial problems, although John Fenty won't really state this. Obviously I don't want to see the club fold and go the way of Halifax Town, but I just don't get the reasoning behind the planned capacity of the new stadium at Great Coates (if this gets the financial backing from the council) and they will more than likely end up in the same situation that Darlington find themselves in now. If the club were to build a new stadium, say 10.000 like Colchester and Chesterfield then it has a better chance of saving the club.

wll if he gets dropped he will want to go back to preston, when he was here he got dropped and each time he put in a transfer request, wanker.

As compared to Kuipers who would never demand a transfer when dropped. I am a fan of Kuipers but the attitude some people have towards Henderson was ludicrous.

Of course Michel makes the odd mistake - literally EVERY goalkeeper does. But over the years he's made way, way below the average amount and he continues to do so. The goal at Luton was in no way his fault, he kept a clean sheet at Millwall, and had a very good game against Northampton bar the goal. I admit he could have done better with it, but I can see why it went in. It was swerving and dipping - when the guy first hit it I thought it was going wide, yet it swerved so much it went in the middle of the goal. So yes, it was a mistake, but a consistently magical legend like Michel is allowed the odd one.

I will give you half for the Luton goal as I think it was both Virgo and Kuipers fault but it seems to be cool on here to criticise Virgs now so it must be his fault (as it would have been with Hawkins earlier in the season).

My point is that every little mistake (or even not a mistake) by Henderson was picked up and is still used against him two years after he left whereas Kuipers can get away with anything. Even Roberts (who was clearly the best keeper we have had in the last 15 years) came in for some stick when here from the Kuipers crowd.

Outstanding GOALKEEPER at EVERYTHING apart from:

1) His tendancy to parry, inviting strikers to rebound - cost us quite a few goals, undoubtably.

2) NOT being Michel Kuipers, Albion Legend/God/Superman/etc, etc

Decent keeper - not great but not bad either. Good shot-stoper, but a worrying tendency to bat the shots he stops back into open play. Would probably be third choice now if he was still on our books. Good luck to him and you though.

Spot on Finchley!
A lot of people like to talk about negative things on here...anything incorrect or costly was highlighted by the Withdean Moaners from Henderson, and then Roberts beforehand...was Roberts a bad keeper...No, maybe a bit injury- prone thats all - that's why he was never a Premiership No.1.

At the end of the day...Henderson cannot be a bad keeper to be capped for The Repulic of Ireland six times?!

He was a f***ing calamity. My favourite moment was when he cost us a draw at Bournemouth in the last minute and the albion fans turned on him big time. I can still hear the glorious tones of "dodgy keeper" ringing through Dean Court as that paddy prick dared to come towards us. Overall, he couldn't command a game of tiddlywinks let alone a penalty box, parried pretty much every shot back into play, and kept our best player out of the team through some ludicrous jocko management. £150k for him was an even bigger steal than the £1.5m we got for Virgo. Still, league two is shit, so he'll probably look respectable in that.

Hope that was a balanced and fair report for you:thumbsup:

But, from memory, he had a very fit girlfriend

he was ok, certainly a lot better than a lot of people on here give him credit for, BUT he did have a lot of flaws in his game....notably his inability to control the defence and his obsession with parrying straight to opposition players

he wasn't as good as kuipers either

He was a very good keeper who if he was here now would undoubtedly be No 1. As regards the Luton goal 100% Kuipers fault because having come for the ball he should have cleared it or if he couldnt stayed on his line where he was. He stopped Virgo from clearing the ball by bundling him out of the way but then it is very fashionable at the moment to knock Virgo.

A low spot in Albions support imo. Pathetic and embarrassing behaviour which made me ashamed to be an Albion fan on the day.

If Taylor was willing to pay a small fee Kuipers wouldnt br at the Club now

FACT

I know I was being sarcastic. From memory Henderson only demanded a transfer just before he left and had moved within a week. Kuipers used to throw his toys out of the pram regularly when not first choice. This is the annoying thing about his worshippers, they conveniently forget that.
