Way off topic.... Coffee/tea mugs

I am a bit OCD about what mug I drink my tea out of. It cannot have a dark interior, it makes the tea look watery and never gets clean. It has to be spotless inside and out and has to be the perfect size, not too big so tea goes cold or too small as to render it a waste of time. Luckily my Seagulls mug it absolutely perfect, sparkling clean white and blue.

I am bored and hungover and wish to know about your choice of mug. Post a pic even, if you are as bored as me.

I have an Amex panorama mug, I will not drink out of any other mug at home.

I almost got that one but I went for the three crests overlapping. The Panorama one was too busy for me but you have chosen and that must be commended when it comes to tea mugs. I won't have tea in anything else.

You are not alone in that one. Always have to have a white inside of the mug for tea. Not that fussed for coffee strangely

I use a Christmas mug all year round as its perfect size, shape, nice handle and tea taste better in it than any other mug in the house. And it stays hotter for longer for some reason. Only downside is a permanent reminder of santa.

I had a Pink Floyd mug, I lost it at work, and coffee just doesn't taste right out of anything else. It's quite upsetting.

I will only drink my coffee from MY mug. And other people's houses I go to regularly I also have a mug selected from their collections that is MINE. If I can't have my mug, I don't have a coffee. And that's that!

Tea must be in bone china for me, a mug not a W.I. tea cup. Coffee from my Timmy's mug (Tim Horton's).

I have one mug at work and one at home and if I have to drink out of anything else it's just not the same.

I use the same mug at work - displays Fonts in a Periodic Table form. Perfect for a web agency.

I have 'I'm in Gully's gang mug' as I'm a kid at heart and prefered it to the Amex one or boring plain one. HAS to be clean inside but not too OCD and can use any mug, any day without thinking it will be bad luck

That's my office mug, ever since I broke my Cadbury's Mini Egg one a couple of months ago.

I actually like cardboard cups for hot drinks, I have some at home, I'm not kidding

Cardboard is fine, polystyrene is not nice.
On a similar note, lots of people whinge when they have to drink beer from a plastic glass - I don't get it, really doesn't bother me in the slightest

100% agree Dribble. Why do they manufacture dark mugs? For tea I drink from a mug with a thin lip and for coffee I use a thick-lipped mug, neither bearing a dark interior. All of my BHA mugs are badly dishwasher faded - do people on here hand wash theirs to keep the imagery pristine?
