often with washing machines the callout fee alone on top of any repair can make it cheaper just to buy a new one. we had 2 hydraulic feet go on ours £30 quid each (worked it out myself) would have cost us £150 to get done . its not worth it.

instead we know a bloke who always has a selection of used , factory seconds etc white goods so we always get stuff from him . got one for £70 quid and he fitted it to .

if you need his number pm me, hes very handy to know although he doesnt fix them

Something is wrong with our drum. You can't put too many items of clothing in there, otherwise it doesn't have the power to spin (we're talking one large towel, when it used to be able to take 4 or 5). Anyone had a similar problem?

i changed the brushes on the motor last night. The drum now rotates but stops after 30 seconds. Just need somebody to come and look at it to see if i have put everything back correctly.

It may be better (as has been said) to get a new one. We've had a bog-standard Bosch for the last three years and have absolutely hammered it (the F-troop is five strong) and it hasn't given us any problems.

Used to have a Hotpoint and the pissing thing was always breaking down.
