[Albion] Was the 2nd half the worst 45 mins of PL football since Potter arrived?

Last winter it was apparently the fans' fault due to the pressure we were putting on the players at the Amex. What's the excuse this winter?

a galaxy far far away
Take your pick

From home games against:

West Ham
Saints
Burnley
Norwich
Sheff Utd
Bournemouth
Villa
Watford
Palace
Newcastle
WBA

Under Potter we have just two wins.

.... a big drubbing at Spurs & Potter could be on his way ? Or at least under serious pressure

What's he still got on his deal? 5 years? Doubt very much losing to Spurs will cost him his job.

Fair enough to show those home opponents. We can't keep relying on our decent away form

The clocks went back a week too soon, apparently. ???

Not sure it's all Potters fault. He had no real support in bringing players in, just said he was happy with what he had. Not sure he had any choice

Living in the real world.
I missed the first half and by all accounts Brighton were fabulous and outplayed WBA.

I saw the game from about the 60 minute mark and you have to give credit to West Brom - I thought they looked good in the period I watched. They chased down every loose ball.

I thought they would be certainties to go down but they won't go down if they play like that.

Yes they will.

5 home league wins under Potter in 22 matches tells its own story.
You can probably stretch that further given Hughton's last 6 or 7 home games in charge were winless!
There is no hiding from it, our home form is shocking.

We tend to look lacklustre against the lesser sides at home. Had a feeling of Villa at home last season, when they inevitably get an equaliser.

Utter dogshit. Starting to question potter now. Unsure if he has the personality, character etc to get this team going again. Started the season well but he seems to struggle to get our team out of a rut. We saw it last season abd the lockdown break saved us. When the inevitable happens it might be a very slippery slope and painful to watch. Pretty football at times but it counts for nothing.

I think he’s smart tactically but he doesn’t harness the respect or fear to get his message across when we need to change, fight, pick ourselves up. He’s too soft.

Remembering how bad we were under Hyypia, and the only reason he left was because he resigned, I'd say Potter will be safe for months.

It was Potter’s worst game yet and that covers the full 90. I said before the game Potter wouldn’t be so negative (or dumb) to leave White in midfield and not play Connolly at home to WBA. Well I was wrong - but so was Potter. We only created one decent chance in the first half as well as that dire second half. White offers nothing going forward in midfield. Very lucky to get a point in the end.

Good point, the second half was tailor made for Stephens

Particularly as Bissouma had an absolute shocker in the second half (admittedly he wasn't alone in that but I don't believe Stephens would have been so complacent)

It was bad, but one of several where we failed to show up at home against lower league teams.
Very similar to Villa home game last season.
