I'm afraid this is one of those annoying posts where I quote a "source", but am not allowed to name them, but I was told back in March that it was likely Micky would return in the summer, which would suggest that nobody else was interviewed.

As suggested I don't expect everyone to believe posts like this, but I believe those posters who know me realise I'm not the type to make up rumours...

That makes it worse then, if you can know this sort of thing while DW had no inkling about it.
It's plain that MA had the job long before he was hired, but that's just adding to shame that would have probably been forgotten if Adams wasn't so abject.

I thought one of the administrators had told us, that once DW & DK had their falling out last January, Knight decided that DW had to go and approached Adams soon after, and this was partly the reason that Adams resigned as assistant at ColU.

Its a good question, but as the majority of fans were delighted when Micky came back, I don't think its fair to slag the club off, as surely no one foresaw the position we would end up in. I, for one, find the whole situation very sad, as Adams appears to have lost it. I also find the abuse he is getting from some people on here absolutely disgusting, if it wasn't for Adams we would not be where we are now. I'm not trying to condone this season, far from it. This season has been crap, but I think it is such a shame that someone who cares about the club as much as Micky does has done such a bad job.

I for one WAS pleased when Adams came back but hindsight is a wonderful thing, I now see that Adams is a clown and should do the decent thing and stop impersonating a football club manager and resign NOW !

Around that time it was one of those secrets that lots of people seemed to know. I remember speaking with one of the players before the end of last seaon who openly said that Dick wanted to bring Micky back. As many people have often said on here we will probably never know the full reason why this was the case as only Dick could answer that!

unfortunately, it looks like adams is taking us back to EXACTLY where we were before he took the job, hence renderring everything he did last time he was here POINTLESS

I was told in February that Dean Wilkins would be sacked and Micky Adams was coming back. When I was told this I dismissed it without giving it a second thought, and it was only when the person who told me said "told ya" after Dean was shit on, that I even remembered he said anything.

So there was no interviews for the job (not sure that legal anymore) and Micky Adams was given the job simply because of who he was.

That is true - a friend of a friend was playing golf with Micky in March and he knew he was coming back then

MA was lined up before the end of the season. DK had several chats apparently before the Swansea game.

And Dick Knight told everyone that he was only talking to Micky for a week before he gave him the job - :bla::bla::bla:

This is why i can't stand the man - lies

While it is certainly disgraceful it may explain some of the stuff with Wilkins at the back end of last season, missing training (occasionally), not travelling with the team (occasionally). What I don't understand though is why he was meeting with players to give them contracts or release them a day or two before he was sacked. Was he lied to? Because there wouldn't seem to be any other explanation.

I think you will find Dean didn't travel with the team and train because he had flu at the end of the season - it was best that he didn't give it to the squad - surely a good idea??

Yes but didn't he then go into the dressing room with them at the games when he was "ill" ?
I find it hard to believe that Wilkins had no inkling of it anyway, as it seems a few people new including players seemingly. It seemed odd at the time.
