Warren Aspinal is a scout for the Albion presumably in England as i understand it this African lad plays in Europe so why should he no much about him did anyone before the Argus report.Also why would a scout be present at a trial? that is to impress management not a scout, he also said during the phone in that the club were looking at strikers but coulndnt name them, i suspect a decision will be made when the club no the outcome of these targets. One thing for sure we need goals and soon!

I agree, I enjoy Warrens massacring of the players names, and his insights into the game. He also spots detail that the commentator misses. I get more idea of what's happening on the pitch from his remarks than I do from the commentary.
Even the commentator was infected by it yesterday and by the end of the match was calling Greer, Richard Gere.

I suspect that Warren knows more about the goings on at the Albion than most posters on here. He certainly knew all about the Bognor player going for a trial at Newcastle and the reasons why we are not interested in him.

I personally find the commentary of Albion matches depressing even when we are playing well. If you can't see what is going on you want the action to be described but they don't seem to be able to do this for more than a couple of seconds without filling in with useless information and talk about players who they can't even pronounce properly.

Forget the Albions guest commentators and get somebody who can do the job and who has as least learned to speak fluent English.

His malapropisms are no worse than Sir Norman Gall and he clearly reads the game very well. Anyone who heard Hinshelwood's attempts at radio commentary last season would take Aspinall any time, any day, any week. Anyway, in years to come you'll be telling your grandchildren of the fun of listening to Aspinall's mispronunciations. It's all part of the pantomime.
