I was watching the ITV news last night and was virtually moved to tears by a report about some Wales fans visiting an orphanage in Baku. Thank God, the kindness of these football fans isn't unique, it just rarely gets bought to the attention of the public. We all know that football fans can attract negative publicity, especially where there's unlimited alcohol available, but I found the efforts of humble souls so uplifting. I wanted to hug each and every one of them! It's another example of the power of football, and how it can enhance the lives of those that fate has conspired to deal a crap hand to.
