I voted in all the other categories as well. I voted for the people/things I hadn't heard of as I didn't like most of the ones I knew.

I agree. Some of the options for best football writer are mad. Miguel Delaney? Jack Pitt-Brooke? Puh-leese! Dan Taylor, Tim Rich, Oliver Kay and Ian Herbert write them under the table but Herbs will never be nominated because he writes for the Fail and the people who decide these things don't ever read him as a result. And has anyone actually read Henry Winter recently or is he nominated purely out of habit?

Also The Blizzard should be somewhere in all this lot. It is just utterly superb in every way.

I left out any categories I wasn't sure of including writers because, of those nominated, David Conn is the only one I have read recently. Interesting what you say about Ian Herbert. I am allergic to the Mail, it leaves me covered in a nasty outbreak of outrage. I might have to make an exception once or twice to check this guy out. I also selected Gary Neville as the pundit of the year just to annoy people.

Good luck El Presidente

David Conn has done some very good work with the Hillsborough enquiries, and subsequent court cases. I had only heard of Henry Winter amongst the others.
