Vodafone rant time

GOD are they the most pathetic excuse for a mobile phone provider in the WORLD?
I'm on a crappy little package after being a customer for many years so I ask for a change to a decent new price plan, they refuse and tell me the plan I mentioned is for new customers ONLY, so I complain saying its blatantly not fair that new customers get better deals than loyal customers and they STILL refuse to give it too me. Wrote a stern e-mail just now and if that does'nt work then vodafuck can kiss my direct debit GOODBYE!

On a personal note, Vodafone have been good to me over the years.

Still it's your right to walk away.

I agree, Vodafone have been good to me also over the years however all mobile phone providers want new subscribers and will sacrifice the odd person here and there that wants to leave.

You could leave, wait a week, then rejoin as a new customer?

And when they've completed everything, let them know what you did and they're just pants.

do what I do. every year, when my contract is about to run out, i write a letter to vodafone serving notice that I wish to terminate my contract as of, say, 1 months time. As soon as that letter hits vodafone, I get a phone call asking me why I'm leaving? I say to get a better phone and tarriff elsewhere, to which Vodafone say "ok, we'll match that". It works every single time, get a brand new phone for free every year, and progressively my tarriff has got better and better. well worth the price of a stamp and effort of a letter!

You guys don't have to deal with Ted Rogers and his telecom company over here. Rogers by name, and they certainly know how to roger their customers by nature.
